Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1992 Buick Riveria, jumper wire, control relays

Question
My heat is working intermittently.  I can hear the clicking as I hit the buttons to change from defrost, to floor, to vents but the fan in not blowing the hot air.  There are three fan control relays #1 G, #2 C and # 3 D. Which one needs to be replaced, or do all three together pushes the heat?  What else could be wrong? It is a 1992 Buick Riveria fully loaded.  Thanks for whatever help you can give me.

Answer
Hi Linda,
First find the fan motor, and more specifically, the power wire to it. With a test light, see if there is power.
If there is power, make sure the ground wire is connected well.
If there is power, and a good ground, you may need a motor.
If there is no power, look for a fuse, and possibly even a fusible link.
As for the relays, mark them, and then swap some of the ones that are exactly alike.
If you use a relay from something like the a/c compressor, you can test your blower relay on it.
Of course then there is the climate control module, but I'd be checking the fan motor itself first. You can use a jumper wire from battery + to the motor connector, and it should run hi speed.
