Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: hello i just bought a 88 buick..., emergency flasher, fuse box

hello i just bought a 88 buick regal its was wrecked when i bought it so it does have some front end damage. And i just noticed that i have no brake lights i looked in the fuse box and the fuse for the brake lights was taken out so i placed another one in the fuse slot for the brake lights. the brake lights work but they wont shut of wheather the cars on or off the brake lights stay on. any ideas on how to fix this problem. please help its my only transportion at this time.

I would think it is the stop light switch, unless the light in the back window does not come on.
If that light isn't on, I would remove the turn signal emergency flasher, and see if it might be stuck. Check the flasher switch also.
