Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: electric windows on a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera S station wagon, oldsmobile cutlass ciera, 1994 oldsmobile cutlass ciera

Hello Tom,
All four electric windows have always moved slower than my friends' cars, but now the driver's side window will not move at all. It would come down halfway, then stop, I'd have to wait then it came down some more the same with raising it back up. This went on for about a year, now it came down about an inch and is stopped there. The other 3 windows still work the same. I hope you can tell me what's wrong and how to fix it. Please be aware I have very little experience but I do love a challenge.

Buy yourself an aerosol can of SILICONE SPRAY at any auto parts store and start spraying all the window channels on the sides of the windows and with the window UP. Use the red plstic straw and spray down inside the door below the window and this will lubricate all the weatherstrips .
