Question
Hey Tom,
Have a question obviously!  At my regular oil change we changed to 10w40, then my next oil change we went back to 10w30, then my pressure started going crazy so we did another oil change and went back to 10w40.  Pressure still kept dropping!  Replaced sending unit, old one was caked in oil! worked fine for about a week then dropped again, since then we have taken the connection off of the sending unit twice, clened it out with q-tips and alcohol, both times the pressure has came up, but then dropped down again.  So my question is, could this be an oil pump problem, or something else?  My oil (dummy light) light never comes on, but the gage inside the car reads at about a hair or two above the low red. Help, if you can.  Thanks, cheryl

Answer
It would appear that you have an OIL SLUDE builup within the engine which can be dissolved via numerous products which breakup the oil clumps which usually occur due to not changing the oil on a maintenance schedule. I think they still make AMSOIL or RISLONE or a similar product to breakup these clumps of oil or another similar product will also work just as well.
