Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Brake lights, 1988 cutlass ciera, car work

My 1988 cutlass ciera has no brake lights all the other lights on the car work fine and the cruise control works the way it should. I Checked the bulbs the fuse and the switch at the brake peddle but found nothing wrong. Where do I begin troubleshooting? Does the computer turn on the brake lights?

NO the computer has NOTHING to do with the brake lights.

OK, IF your vehicle has CRUISE CONTROL there is most likely TWO different switches mounted above the brake pedal. One is for the cruise control and the other is for the brake lights.

tell me what color wires that you teted and HOW you tested them.
