Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Cost for a heater core repair, heater core repair, dollors

Question
Hello! I have a couple of questions. My heater core is going out on my 1992 Oldsmobile & I went & bought a new heater core part to replace the old one in my car.  How safe is it to drive long distance trips when it needs to be replaced?  Will my vehicle be alright or should I not attempt it?  Also, when I do go to a shop to have someone put my new heater core part in my car, do you have any idea about how much it will cost for the labor & putting it in?  I already have the part, so it shouldn't cost anything for that.  I was just wanting to know about labor costs!  If you could help me out with these questions I have, it would be very much appreciated! Thanks for your time!
