Answer
HI TROY,SOUNDS MORE LIKE A BAD CABLE OR CABLE END ON EITHER POS OR NEG CABLE.THERE IS NO RELAY OTHER THEN THE IGNITION SWITCH,BUT SINCE THE LIGHTS ARE DIMMING THE SWITCH IS SENDING POWER TO THE STARTER.SO IF YOU ARE SURE THE STARTER IS GOOD THEN BAT AND CABLES ARE ALL THAT IS LEFT .TAKE A SET OF GOOD BATT CABLES AND A FULLY CHARGED BATT.HOOK THE POS CABLE TO BATT ON POS SIDE AND THE NEG ON NEG SIDE.HOOK YOUR OTHER END OF JUMPER NEG TO A GOOD ENG GROUND.NOW HOOK THE OTHER POS END OF JUMPER TO THE BIG POS POST ON YOUR STARTER SEE IF CAR CRANKS IF SO BAD CABLE.NOW TO DETERMINE WHICH CABLE UNHOOK ONE CABLE AT A TIME FROM THE BATT,THERE YOU WILL HAVE A DIAG..GOOD LUCK PLEASE RATE MY HELP BILLYMAC
