Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1995 Buick Century trouble, altenator, buick century

Question
Hi, I have a 95 Buick Century, 3.1L, OD trans.
I seem to have a problem with keeping a charge.
A new altenator was put on 3months ago now it has "fried" again. So I got a new one, put that on and it still won't stay running for long. Checked the battery with a multimeter and it is fine, checked the new altenator with the multimeter to see if it was receiving and producing charge, it is receiving but it doesn't seem like it is producing charge to the battery. Mind you this is a brand new altenator, I am going to have it tested to be sure it isn't a dud or something. So if it isn't, I am kinda lost, have any suggestions on what my next steps should be?
Thanks for you time and I appreciate your help!
