Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Car Swerving after being towed out, tow rope, pontiac grand am

Question
Hi there, I realize that my car is a Pontiac Grand AM, but I couldn't find any experts available to answer Pontiac questions!  Also, I don't think the problem is specifically Pontiac related.
My car is a 2000 Pontiac Grand AM SE.  Yesterday, I got the car 'stuck' in a friends unplowed driveway (snow).  The car sat for awhile (about an hour) and than we decided to use his truck to pull the car out and back on to the driveway (it was only stuck in about a foot of snow).  He hooked onto the back end, underneath, but I'm not sure what he hooked the tow rope on to exactly.  Using his truck he pulled the car back onto the road (I had the car in neutral of course). Because the driveway is on a downward incline, I touched the brakes once while he was pulling, and heard a bit of 'clicking'.  I assumed it was my ABS. When I realized he was still pulling I immediately let go of the brakes.
While driving back to the city, when I reached about 60-70 km/h, the car began to occasionally 'swerve', or fishtail back and forth.  It felt very odd (not to mention dangerous as the roads were covered in snow and ice)  I wonder if perhaps we didn't bend something, not sure. Someone mentioned perhaps that the tires or brakes were 'frozen'?  I have no idea what's causing this 'swerving'.  As said before, I'm not sure what he hooked on to, but the rope went beneath the car (rear) and on the passenger side.  Any idea as to why the car is no longer driving straight?  What it might be, and what something like that might cost to repair? Thanks in advance!  Shauna

Answer
hi shauna, yes there is a couple things that could have happened.todays cars are aligned bye all 4 wheels and there is adjustments at front and rear.there is tie rods that could have been damaged.take the car to a front end tell them what happened and hopefully an alignment will fix it about 5o dollars or so if something is bent prob a cpl hundred.but don,t be so hard on the friend he may not have caused it just the weight of the car in a unusual position as like dropping off and causing the car to be un level is enough to cause this kind of damage .but yes extremely dangerous bite the bullet and get to the shop lol.good luck please rate my help billymac
