Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 2004 oldsmobile alero, oldsmobile alero, 2004 oldsmobile alero

I recently purchased a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero that had approx. 15K miles on it.  Just today, a warning light on the dashboard came on.  Reads 'ANTI-LOCK'.  Since no book came with the car when I bought it, I am not positive as to what it means.  Do you know?

hi linda ,this is the abs system it makes sure that all 4 wheels have equal brakeing as to avoid locking and possibly causeing a skid.this is a warranty prob and should be taken to the dealer asap.and you need a manual with it the dealer can order that.but this manual has safety info that you will need.it is ok to drive the car with this light but should be fixed soon.this system shuts off when this light is on so although it will stop it could skid so just allow more time to stop and you will be fine.ty for writeing and feel free anytime.please rate my help ty billymac
