Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Location of power steering pump on 1998 Delta 88, power steering pump, delta 88

My mother asked me about this, and I could not answer. Here is the problem: She is hearing a rubbing or grinding when she is attempting to turn. I believe it may be the power steering pump, but can't find it to check it. She is dropping it off at the mechanic tomorrow morning. I have looked over the entire engine compartment twice, and have not seen it. Would I just to have to fill the power steering pump, or does this sound more serious?

hi al,you prob have a 3800 eng the pump is located front of the eng closest to the windshield.stick your hand to the rear of the cyl head you will feel the cap.but this noise don,t sound like a pump noise so it is better to not take any chances and let her take it to the mech.good luck please rate my help ty billymac
