Porsche Repair: 928 quits after 5 minutes, starter fluid, air meter

Hi I have a 1984 928 that will start/run for like 5 minutes when cold then dies and will not restart. If you give it a shot of starter fluid it starts right up and runs till fluid is exhausted. took fittings on fuel rails of and turned car over...lots of fuel pumping from pump. Please help!!

You need to check your fuel pressures and make sure there to spec. The CIS Injection is very sensitive to fuel pressures.

Try moving the air meter and see if that keeps it going.

WHen was the last time it ran?
When was the last time it passed smog?
