Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: car looses coolant, 85 buick lasabre, intake manifold gasket

Question
I have a 85 buick lasabre 8cyl and lately my radiator has been loosing coolant but I have not noticed where it is going.  When I park and i turn off the ignition my car chuckles and at times it just turns off with no noise or chuckles.

What is wrong, please help me?

Answer
Hi Saint,
If it isn't ending up on the ground, it is going through the engine.
Intake manifold gasket leak would let it get sucked in without necessarily overheating the engine.
A leaking head gasket is the other likely cause, but that usually causes overheating, or blowing coolant out of the recovery tank.
Also, check the oil, and make sure it isn't leaking into the crankcase.
