Plymouth Repair: power Lock and power windows, 1998 plymouth voyager, plymouth voyager

Question
Hi, I bought an 1998 Plymouth voyager 3.0L V6 and I would like to put a Power Windows and Power lock system on it and mine is all manual. So my question is, is it possible to buy all the components from Pick and Pull from a newer van and install it to the 1998 Van. If yes what all do I need to buy? I thought to buy the whole doors but i will cost more + the painting if the color won't much my van.
Any suggestion? Thanks a lot for your time.

Answer
Hey,

Yikes.  I don't know quite what to say.  I have seen power door lock and windows units installed on vehicles aftermarket and they never work very well. I don't want to say the wrong there here but on one of those vans its not just a matter of swapping the doors either.  The wiring inside of the vehicle is just as complicated as the door wiring.  The most cost effective way to go about it would be to put that van on the market, sell it, and buy one with the options that you want in the same year.  I know it sounds crazy but youmight even get one for less than you sell yours for.  I can tell you off the top of my head its gonna cost you at leas 1000 bucks to put two doors on it, paint it and then wire it all up.
There is going to be no way to just install them in your current doors.  You would have to buy mounts, motors, door locks, rods, solenoids x2.  No way is that going to be cost effective.
