Pontiac Repair: Instrument Panel, pontiac grand prix, google search

Question
I have a 99 pontiac grand prix. The instrument panel went out and blew a fuse. I noticed a burning plastic or rubber smell from the passenger side fuse box area at the time. I changed the fuse and the lights still didn't come on. I took the instrument panel apart to find all the bulbs had blown. I changed the bulbs and still no lights. Fuses are fine. Any suggestions???

Answer
Hi Teddie:

I think your going to have to do some more digging. With the new fuse in the fuse box. and the key in the ruin osition make sure you have your powers and grounds to the IPC connector. You may be able to do a google search and find a wiring diagram for the IPC connector. if you have the powers and grounds to the IPC and it is still dead the IPC may be the culprit it's self and not a shorted wire in the dash area. Good luck :-}
