Pontiac Repair: Steering fluid, pontiac grand prix gxp, grand prix gxp

Question
Hello, I have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP.(V8)I was leaving work today and drove about two feet -- heard a loud grinding noise and stopped. The car continued to make noise when stopped, I had never heard this previously. Turned it off...and found a flood of what I soon found out was power steering fluid. Currently the car is sitting in the parking lot, dealership closed already. Curious as to the cost to fix the pump if it is indeed broken, or the cost if it is just a hose... single girl in a new city, not excited to be taken advantage of. Any advice would be appreciated!

Answer
Hi Nicole.

well with out seeing it I cam't say for sure what the issue is. usually a pump will not go in a manner like that it's usually a hose or the steering gear it's self. hope for a hose far cheaper. How much cheaper I don't know I just fix 'em I don't pay attention to the cost but I would guess hose repair maybe 200.00 gear repair maybe 600.00. good luck :)
