Pontiac Repair: Clicking noise inside heater case, 2004 pontiac vibe, pontiac vibe

I have a 2004 Pontiac Vibe, the other day something started clicking inside the box....I opened the flap just a little and the noise quit. Is the flap operated by vacuum or does it have a control motor....how do I get to the part clicking, and how can I fix that problem? thank you.........Tim Alexander

Hey Tim.
that is the control motor for the door making the noise. chances are the motor is just bad and not the crontrol head. I would replace the actuator motor for that door and then pull the fuse for the HVAC control head punt the fuse back in tuirn the car and on wait about a minute and then run through the modes and temp on the control to make sure it's fixed. good luck :)
