Pontiac Repair: wipers, plastic retainers, pontiac g6

a arm came off the wiper transmision on a 2004 pontiac g6 how do i remove the plastic vent piece yo get to wiper motor  clips  .....screws??????????n how do wiper arms come off

@004 G6? that car didn't come ut till 2005. I'll assume it's a G6 and not a grand am you just have the wrong year? If the linkage came off the motor it needs a new "wiper trasnmission" there is a nylon socket that attaches the motor to the trasnmission and they wear out and the linkage pops off especially ig the wipers are frozen to the glass or have a heavy snow load. ther are plastic retainers that old the cowl to the body and you need either a wiper arm puller or battery cable puller to pull the arm off the transmission.
