QuestionQUESTION: I want to know how much a regular full tank of gas would run a suzuki esteem 1998 for? Can u help me out, I'm in Canada, and everything is is Kilometers (KM) and Litres of gas. So rite now , i believe i fill up a good 40 Litres of gas, and my car runs for about 450 KM, that is very low, as far as ive heard.
ANSWER: What's your highway only mileage, driving conservatively? Is the mileage you've listed highway, city, or mixed suburban driving? Many times I've heard people complain of reduced mileage in winter short trip driving, and I wonder if this is your circumstance? Do you drive conservatively or above the speed of surrounding traffic? Any of the above can individually drop mileage 10% or more.

QUESTION: Well it is on highway and city, however more is highway. And along with that i have one more question. My exhaust had a hole in it, and wen i pressed the accelator, loud noise came and car pick was slow. So i got that repaired, i believe it was welded. However it ran gud for the first week, and now wen i start it again, i cheked the weld and everything is fine,. i get a similar noise, and i press accelator the car picks but with loud noise, and i can tell its loosing some power. It may be very hard to understand, but thats the problem.
AnswerThis isn't something I can diagnose with a CRT and keyboard. I would have to be there in person. I CAN, however tell you that if the leak is permitting stray oxygen to enter the exhaust upstream of the oxygen sensor, it could be the cause of poor mileage.
