Pontiac Repair: 2006 Pontiac G5 2.2L 5spd manual, pontiac g5, battery terminals

Question
Cleaned all connections to body and battery terminals.  Have to disconnect and reconnect battery every time I want to start car.  Got new battery and same thing happens. Turn key and everything works, except car won't crank unless I disconnect and reconnect again. What could be causing this issue. Thx.

Hi Mark:

My guess would be an issue with the security system. when you get the car running keep it runnin and stop by one of the big box auot parts stores and see waht codes are stored in the car and go from there. once youy know what codes are stored then you will have an idea where to go with this problem. good luck :)
