Pontiac Repair: RU871 Blower Switch Resistor Module, pontiac sunfire, 2000 pontiac sunfire

I own a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire. The Fan Speed selector switch does Not work at stages 1 & 2, but Does work for stages 3 & 4. Having gone to a Parts store, the desk technician stated I needed a new Resistor Module for the Fan Speed Selector, part No. RU871 (if that's a universal part code No. I'm not sure).
WHERE would I find the Location of this Part on my Vehicle???

Hi Robert:

Yes it's more thne likley the resistor. Do not go with an aftermarket part. get one from a GM dealer either chevy or Pontiac will have it. The part has been redesigned and shouldn't fail again.  It's loacted under the right side of the dash below the glove box next to the blower motor. I have NO idea what part #'s are what I just fix em and have nothing to do with parts look up.
