Pontiac Repair: van stutters, spark plug wires, ac delco

Question
I have a 1994 Pontiac Transport 3800.  Sometimes the van "stutters" when it runs. It doesn't seem to matter if it is the first start in the morning, or a start later in the day or during mid run.  We tried replacing the coil packs.  This did not change anything.  The stutter seems to happen on rainy or moist days.  What could be causing the motor to stutter?

Answer
Hi Lynnette:

well if it happens on lon damp or rainey days it's has to be an ignition system issue either bad spark plug wires or a bad aprak plug. The humidity acts like a conductor and makes a plug wire that is leaking voltage easier to leak and the spark jump to the engine block rather then jump the gap of the spark plug. Pretty common especially if the wires are the original ones the insulationbreaks down over time and then they leak. Buy GOOD spark plugs either replacment AC Delco or a name brand set like Bosch or a set of premium wires from NAPA.
Good luck :)
