Car Stereos: 1991 ford econoline van stereo, no sound

i have tried several diferent plugs to put a Kenwood cd player in my van i get power and memory power to the stereo but no matter what plug ive been given by parts stores i cant get sound . I plug the factory stereo back in works fine.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated im lost thank you.

Hi Ryan.

Your van stereo system most likely has a premioum sound or a factory amplified system, so what you need to do is connect the blue/white wire from your radio to the blue/white wire on your aftermarket harness to turn on the factory amplifiers, your not getting sound because the amplifiers are off, try that and let me know if it helps.
