I have a 94 sunbird and it wont go into reverse. its a manual tranny and it jolts whenever we back it up. it also crapped out on me yesterday. i got home and it started leaking anti-freeze everywhere. and not just a little. it was an anti-freeze EXPLOSION. any help would be great considering i cant afford to bring it into a shop at the moment and really need a car to get around! thanks!

Well as the the trasnmission usually it's not a minor repair. It's usually in internal failure and not a cable/shifter problem in the car. with out seeing it I can't tell you. As for the coolant leak where did the coolant come from? out the overflow bottle or a hose? again with out seeing it it's hard to say. Was the car running hot and when you shut it off it boiled over or was it running fine and in the normal temp range and when you shut it off it leak all over?
