Pontiac Repair: Ignition switch convenience lighting?, holden commodore, interior lamps

Question
2009 Pontiac G8:  I have trouble finding the ignition switch in the dark.  Is there a convenience light for it?  I see a clear plastic ring around the switch, so it seems possible, but the service manager at the dealership says no...  The Holden Commodore version of the car does (Pontiac rebadged the Holden for sale in the U.S.), but I can't find evidence anywhere that the Pontiac does.  If there is a light for this switch, how can I get the service manager to acknowledge that and fix it?

Answer
Hey Justin:
He's right there is no light for it.. It's a bad design I know your just going to have to fumble for it in the dark untill you get used to where it is sorry. We don't design them we only have to fix em when they break. The tehater dimming feature the interior lamps has should give you plenty of time to insert the key in to the ignition before they dim and go out.
