Pontiac Repair: Pontiac Transport, fuel level sensor, control arm bushings

Question
I have a 1997 Transport. The fuel gauge is showing full constantly.
Is this possibly a wiring issue?

I also have a clunking from the front when I take off and when I hit bumps. CV Shafts?

Thank you

Answer
Hi Mike:

The fuel gauge is more then likley a bad fuel level sensor on the fuel pump module in the tank. As for the clunk it could be a bad engine/transmission mount a bad ball joint and or lower control arm bushings stabalizer links or bar. Cv joints usally do not go bad on these vans and they would tend to make more money on sharp turns. Good luck :0
