Pontiac Repair: 1997 Grand Prix, pontiac grand prix, back lighting

Hello I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix that the heat is not working in it goes in and out. Also the electonic extra dash board is also going out when the heat does.  I also cannot get my rear defrost to work when my Heat is not working.  I can hear it clicking trying to come on, but it does not come on.. Any suggestions?

when you say the dash quits do you mean the back lighting or does it blank right out? My guess is you have a common power feed or ground that is loose and it's affecting both units anything else cut out when those stop working like the wipers power windows etc??? Let me know an Maybe I can narrow it down better for you. intermittant electrical issues ARE VERY HARD to find and the more info you give who ever is going to fix it the better chnace they have to find the problem.
