Pontiac Repair: 1998 Pontiac Trans Am Blinkers, drl module, pontiac trans am

Question
QUESTION: My blinkers don't work, front or back.  I've changed all the bulbs that I know to change & still no blinkers.  Could it be the "blinker relay switch" and where is it located.  I read an answer similar to this that said something about a running light or fog light relay(?).  Where is that located also in the event its not the blinker relay?

ANSWER: Hi Sunny:

well it's either a fuse, switch or flasher element. Of the 3 the most likely cause is the t/s flasher element. that is under the dach near the steering column. It has 2 wires going to it and it round about the size of a half dollar. Most of the time that's what's wrong with them. if you have a 12 Volt test light turn the key on turn on the either t/s and check for battery voltage on one side of the flasher You will have it on 1 wire but not the other if no power on either it's either a fuse or the switch. if it has it on one wire but not the other it's the flasher element that is bad.
Good luck :)

QUESTION: 1st of Bravo to the answer to my first question!!  Pulled the panel off, took flasher from other vehicle I have & installed.  It worked for the rear blinkers.

Now...the front blinkers still don't work.  I found that one of the sockets (passenger side) is bad.  Driver side (front) comes on but won't blink so I'm now headed into town to get socket and new bulbs and flasher for other vechicle.  Is there anything else I can check before hitting the parts store, just in case.  It might save me another trip into town if socket & bulbs dont work.
Thanks again, look forward to hearing from you.

Answer
depending on how this is equipped if it's a usa car or canadian the wiring is different for the lamps. The Day time running lighst are tied into the front parking/turn lamps. You could have an issue with a bad DRL module and that is not allowing the lamps to flash on the front. That used to be a pretty common issue on those cars. Thanks for the good review on my answer. As for the ehadlamps Yes the motors go bad and that is why they "grind" when going back down. Another common issue on these cars.
