Pontiac Repair: 94 Grand AM, turn signal switch, blinker

I have a 94 grand am who's blinker has quit blinking completely. No blinker on dash or out side. tail lights, brake lights still work. When I turn the blinker on the corresponding tail/brake light goes out. Would this be a bad turn signal switch? if so where do I find it? Or am I looking for a bad ground somewhere? Thanks Bryan

Hi Bryan:

it can be a bad turn signal switch or a bad flasher element. I would lean more towords the falsher element, It' located under the dash by the steering column. turn on the 4 ways and listen for the clicking under the dash. The turn signa flasher looks just like the 4 way flasher and it's located near the 4 way element. do not confuse the 2 due to the fact they look a like.
