Pontiac Repair: Grand Prix 2000, grand prix gt, air doors

Question
Todd,

2000 Grand Prix Gt 3800.  My blower started making noise and shortly after quit.  I ended up replacing both the blower motor and resistor fixing the initial problem.  However, now there is now control over air flow (defrost, floor, or dash).  What else is going wrong?  Could it be a defective resistor? Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Brad:

more then likely the issue here is a mode door control actuator is bad. the air doors are controled by an electric motor "actautor" 9 times out of 10 the actuator goes bad and the door is then stuck at one position and will not change modes. the other 10% of the time it's eithere a wiring issue to the actuator or the control head in the dash. Good luck :)
