Pontiac Repair: fuel pressure drop, grand prix gtp, pontiac grand prix gtp

Question
Hello,
I have a 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with a supercharged 3.8 all stock with 150,000 miles.  The engine always starts, but will lose fuel pressure and die.  It would run for about 5 mins., but now only about 5 sec.  Key on, engine off fuel pressure 51 for about 2 sec. then drops down to about 41.  After engine starts, pressure goes to 51 and then drops to 0 pressure and then dies.  If you kept pumping the pedal you can keep it running, but will not idle.  Fuel pump was replaced 2 years ago.

Thanks a Million

Answer
Hey Evan:

easy Fix here. The supercharged engine has a 2 speed fule pump. the  resisitor has burnt up. It' loacted in the right front fender well. goto ant pontaic dealer and ask for a fuel pump resistor. that controls the low spped pump wich is used at idle. It is a revised part and it comes with a long harness on the end of it and instruction on where to reloacte it. good luck :)
