I WAS WOUNDERING WHERE THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR IS LOCATED ON THIS CAR IT HAS A 3.4 LITRE 6CYL TWIN DUAL CAM IN IT AND I NEED TO REPLACE IT BUT HAVENT ANY IDEAR WHERE IT IS ON THE MOTOR.

Hi Randy:

it's in the engine block in between the engine and transmission down towards the engine oil pan it's mounted low in the block. it has 1 bolt that holds it into the engine. take out the bolt and twist the sensor around a bit before trying to pull it out. Years of heat and engine sludge build up on the sensor and the o-ring that seals it to the engine get hard and sticks to the block which mkaes it hard to get out. You DO NOT WANT TO BREAK IT OFF INSIDE THE ENGINE BLOCK!
