Pontiac Repair: pontiac sunfire 2000- 2.2 engine, fastener torque, power steering pump

Question
I owe you one if you can help me.  My problem is not with the power steering pump but the belt tensioner underneath.  I got that loose but need to get the pump out of the way and cannot find the bolts to release it. Part of the problem is I manage an a/c business in Cen. Fla. and by the time I get home my eyes are pretty wiped out. I went to a parts store and you know all the manuals are now wraped up. I asked them if they would guarentee the info and they said no.  I need to fix this for my wife's neice as she is down on her luck and needs a car.

Answer
Hey Bobby:

Here is the proceedure right out of the service manual:
Sorry the pictures will not cut and past into it.

Remove the power steering hoses from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement and Power Steering Return Hose Replacement .

Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts from the power steering pump.
Remove the power steering pump from the engine.
Installation Procedure

Install the power steering pump to the engine.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Install the power steering pump mounting bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the mounting bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

Install the power steering hoses to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement and Power Steering Return Hose Replacement .
Install the drive belt to the power steering pump. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 2.2L.
Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

In a nut shell the bolts that attach the pump to the engine are through the holes in the power steering pump pulley just rotate the pulley around untill you can get the socket on the bolts they have a 13MM head on them.

Good luck :)
