Pontiac Repair: 1994 Grand am wiper out of sync, motor shaft, wind shield

Our 94 grand am wipers are way out of sync, where the drivers will actually go off the wind shield.  Also, I can stop the drivers wiper by putting my finger in its path.  Not sure if the motor shaft is stripped or if it a syncronizing issue.

The issue here is the wiper arm has stripped out on the wiper transmission. the transmission is the part that makes the wiper arms move up and down. being that it's stripped the arm is out of time so it wipes past the windshiled. It needs a new arm and the stripped out aluminum cleaned off the transmission with a wire brush. Not really to bad of a repair. you can take the old arm off and with the wipers turned off "parked" intall the new arm and amke sure it's sitting on the stop at the bottom of the windshield. make sure you tighten the nut up good that hold the arm onto the transmission.
