Pontiac Repair: Lack Of Boost, grand prix gtp, vacuum hoses

Hi,     I own a 2000 Grand Prix GTP, over the past month I have noticed the supercharger only boosts half way, even tho the car seems to accelerate properly and quickly...I did change the S/C oil but that didnt help...Any ideas,  Thanx

Hi Zakk:

it could be a few things. if it feels like it always has and not performance loss noted I'd be inclined to thin the issue is with either the boost sensor or the indicator on the drivers info center. take a look at the vacuum hoses on the engine and see if any of them are loose,cracked or broken. they run from under the s/c to along the back side of the engine by the fire wall..
