Pontiac Repair: 2000 sunfire 2.2L keyless entry, ac delco, body control module

Question
My remote can't open drivers side door and trunk, no problem with the other three. the button on doors can lock them not unlock. the power trunk wire has no voltage while I push button. if it's body controll module grounding problem, where is it located? thanks.

Hey Larry:
Yes it souls like it's an issue with the body control module I belive on that year car the relays for the door locks are inside the control module. The module is located under the left side of the dash board to the left of the brake pedal. I would check ot make sure that all the fuses are good first and foremost. I wouldn't just throw a control module at this. They are expensive and they need to be set up with a GM scan tool. It's not a job for the do it your selfer. Your stuck taking it to an AC DELCO repair shop or the dealer for that to be done. You may want to invest in a Chilton or Mitchel repair manual and look into the problem your self. The cost of the manula is less than the Daig time you will pay to have it looked at. Hope that helps you out. Good luck :}
