Pontiac Repair: dashlights, fuse box, headlamp switch

1997 Grand Am-the dashlights, radio, & lighter won't work  and my friend checked the fusebox and said that's not the problem.Do you know of anything else that would cause this? Thank you.

Hi Katrina:

What's wrong with the radio It backlighting? or the radio doesn't work at all. The lighter has it's own fues so the radio lighter are not related. the interior dash lights have their own fuse in the fuse box but the lamps could also be an issue withe the dimmer switch on the dash board. that switch gets power from the headlamp switch and then it has a fuse the controls all the inside dash lamps. hope that helps some?
