Pontiac Repair: Replacing a Fuel Filter, rust belt, gas tanks

Question
I need to replace my fuel filter on my 2003 Pontiac Grand Am. I have no clue what I'm doing and don't really have any one to do it for me. Can you explain what I need to do?

Answer
Hi Linda:

This is a dirty Smelly job that shouls be done at a repair shop. The filet ris under the car to the rear of the gas tanks on the left side. You have to get under the car to replace it. It's one of those jobs you just should break down and pay someone to do it. Also if the car has a low of miles on it and you live in the rust belt chances are the line is rotted onto the filter wich makes the job Oh so much more fun! Good luck :]
