Pontiac Repair: rear defrost, gm dealer, auto parts store

The metal part on one side of my rear defrost disconnected from the window.  I was wondering if there was an easy way to re attach that.

It depends on what metal piece your refuring to. If it's the metal part that runs all the way down the side of the galss then no. You will need a new rear window. If however it's just the metal tab that the electrical connector attaches to there is a kit that you can buy that will adhear the tab back to the glass and allow the electrical current to flow out into the grid. Any GM dealer should have that kit just tell them you want one to attach the tab NOT to repair one of the grids there are 2 different types. You can also try any good auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest and ask them for the same thing ther is one made by Permatex that works just as well as the GM part and more than likely cheaper. Just follow the directions on the back of the package to a "T". Good luck :}
