Pontiac Repair: CD Player makes scratching noise, radio options, lable

While I was driving I started to change the cd and after I changed it , it started making a scratching noise. But the cd still plays okay. the music is okay. Just the noise on the inside. Is there any way to fix it on my own. Like cleaning it.

If your using "burned" cd's that have a paper lable on them that could cause the noise. If it has store bought cd's and it's making noise the player is going bad. there is not much you can do with it.We at the dealer if you were to come in with a radio/ cd player issue we would just order you a factory replacement excange unit depending on the car and radio options they are ant where between $175-$300 for an exchange plus the labor..
