Question
I have a 1995 pontiac bonneville with 3800 v6 ssei won't start sometimes cuts the power to the starter and the ignition i already tried to jump it across the starter and it turned over but wouldn' t fire

Answer
Hi Mike:

Sounds like an pass key problem. The pellet in the ignition key is what tells the security system in the car that it's a valid key and to start the car. What happnes in the wires in on the ignition lock cylinder frey and break off causing intermittant at first and then a complete no crank condition. If this car has a lot of miles on it that would be my first guess as to what's wrong with it. PArt of the security system also it cuts of fule control into the engine so if you had the key turned to the run position and jumped the starter the security system inhibits fuel into the engine. so that is the first place I would check. It could also be a bad pellet in the ignition key Doubtful but wurth a try using the second key if you have one. good luck :}
