Pontiac Repair: 98 Transport Montana ABS Brake & TCS lights, brake warning light, mechanical brakes

Question
After stopping for gas, when I started my van the ABS, Brake, & TCS lights will not go off.  They are not flashing, the pedal is normal to slightly stiffer, brake fluid level is good, & all fuses that I could see that are related to any of the above are good.  I replaced the front pads about a month ago.  I think that the rear shoes are in need of replacing.
I was able to drive the van home without any complications.

Thanks.

Answer
Hi
Although I cannot tell you EXACTLY what the problem is, I will say almost certianly the ABS system is illuminating the other 2 lights.
My best advice would be to have you take it to a GOOD repair shop and have the ABS system scanned for codes.
If after you get the codes and want me to assist in diagnosis , please follow post back.
If not have the mechanic diagnose it.
The actual mechanical brakes wil not affect the ABS system, and vise versa.
You'll ALWAYS have regular or "base" brakes even with the ABS and RBWL (Red Brake warning light) on.
The TCS (Traction Control System) is part of the ABS system.it works, in a nutshell like this: When low traction is detected by the slipping of a wheel eg.. like gravel, the ABS will pulse the slipping wheel's brakes to attempt to gain traction. If this fails, it CAN then request the vehicles computer to reduce horepower by shutting off injectors.
Anyways, I hope this all helps.
Please follow post back, if needed.
