Pontiac Repair: 2WR69 -2002 GRAND PRIX GTP SEDAN, cv shaft, grand prix gtp

My vehicle started to sound wierd but only while I was driving it, but not while outside of it. I believe its the CV shaft it has a lot of oil on it running off. Please let me know what you think and how much its going to cost. I live in kansas

You can get a remanufactured shaft complete cheaper than just one of the joints alone. I would say the shaft is maybe about $200.00 and the labot is maybe $150.00. it could be a wheel bearing going bad as well. Is it a humming vibrating noise or a rattle crunch. The rattle or crunch would be a cv joint the other would be a wheel bearing. Good luck :) Happy holidays~!
