Pontiac Repair: 1989 grand prix, door latch, door handles

i cannot get the doors on my grand prix to open from the outside, they will open if i put my hand thru the window and open from inside.

it sounds like either both door handles are broken or the door latches are seized on the part for the outside handles. if it's a 2 door the handles usually break and when you pull on them there is no resistance at all when you pull on them This is very common. if when you pull on them they feel like they are binding it's more than likely a door latch problem.
