1994 pontiac grand am quad 4, where is the thermostat located?

If it is a 2.3 liter quad 4 it's in the upper radaitor hose in the abck of the head you have to remove the housing and it's in there If it's the plastic housing on the rear of the head it's not there is loacted under the water pump on the right side of the engine back by the fire wall you have to remove the metal pipe that goes under the oil pan and it sits on top of that pipe. If it has the aluminum housing for the upper radiator hose it's behind the housing. If it's a 2.4 Quad overhead cam engine they are all under the water pump. Hope that helped.
