my 1996 grand am key will not turn in the ignition

Hi
First advice would be to get a key cut from the VIN at your local GM dealership. You'll need to bring Title, regrestration, proof of insurance, etc... to prove ownership.
Do not get key copy cut, have a NEW key cut.
If this does not work, you'll need a new ignition lock cylinder.
