Pontiac Repair: power mirror 2006 Ponitac Montana SV6, pontiac montana, power mirror

My 2006 Ponitac Montana SV6 drivers side power mirror is broke.  I have been told by some that the mirror is interchangeable with previous years (Olds Silouette/Pontiac Montana/Chevy Venture)but by others it is not.  A OEM for that year is 150.00.  An interchangeable one online is 87.00 but has heat.  Do you know if it is possible to use a 2005 or older GM power mirror and if it matters that mine is not heated?

Good question. I don't work in the parts end of things. I would say that they are not interchangeable. wether it has a heater mirror or not shouldn't matter they more than likely have the same connector to plug into the wiring in the door. a non heated one will be cheaper yes. but I would say that a regular Montana pre 2005 and a 2005 and up sv6 are not but that's just my "guess" call a Pontiac dealer and ask them maybe you will get a guy or girl on the phone that has a clue. But most of the parts personnel I have deal with or have dealt with don't. good luck :)
