Pontiac Repair: 1999 Pontiac Montana, power steering fluid, pontiac montana

Question
Yesterday all of a sudden when I turned the steering wheel to the right there was a scrubbing or a moaning like noise (not a squeak, not grinding, not metal on metal) and it sounded like it was coming from under the hood around the driver's side.  This only happens when the wheel is turned to the right, never the left.  Checked the power steering fluid and it was fine.  It doesn't matter whether the car is moving or parked.  The steering itself never felt different during this noise. no stiffening or loosening, etc.  Any hint or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi
I would have the Power steering system checked.
I have from experience seen the Pump make sismilar noise, the Rack nad Pinnion make noise and or the hoses themselves make noise.
You should be able to have this diagnosed at any good shop your famailar with....  some may charge you, some may not.
I Hope this helps.
Good luck
