Pontiac Repair: My pontiac gand am 2003 keeps dying, crankshaft position sensor, fuel pressure regulator

Question
My car keeps dying on me, randomly, while I'm driving.  I'll start it up and go about a mile and it will just die. I'll go about 4 miles and it'll die at least 10 times.    engine size: 3.4L V6

Answer
Hi
Best advice to start would be to determine what your loosing...eg... fuel, fire.
For fuel, you'll need to have the fuel pressure checked while running down road.
It should stay steady and stable in the 40-45 psi range while driving.
If it "falls out" while driving, you PROBABALLY have a fuel pump issue.
Also you can check for ANY sign of fuel in the vacuum line of the fuel pressure regulator.
If ANY gas is located there, the regulator HAS to be replaced.
For fire, you'll need to have the Crankshaft position sensor checked. The ignition module MAY also be faulty.
Also any service engine soon light  codes should be checked.
I hope this helps.
Just advice from experience

Good .Luck
