Pontiac Repair: 94 grand am, grand am, strut

on my grand am the motor mount seems to be loose...How many are there??? i see one on the top is there one on the bottom??When the car is running it gives a vibration also when you are driving.. my other question is can i tighten this easily with out buying a new mount or do I have to buy one.. How hard is this job??

Depending on which engine you have, you will probally have 3 mounts. An engine mount, strur mount and transmission mount.
Engine mount is the big one on the right wheel well area.
The strut mount is on the bottom of engine, right side below the crank balancer.
The transmission mount is on the left side, mounts the trans to the frame/fenedr well area.
They cannot be tightened, unless the bolt has fallen out.
The engine mount and the strut mount are not very difficult. The transmission mount is alittle more harder and may require the assistance of a mechanic.
I would say if in doubt, take it to a repair shop. Have it properly diagnosed. It may only be one of them, so replacing all 3 would be expensive.
